چکیده

Corrosion of iron by oxidation is a global problem that affects the economy and gives rise to environmental pollution. Iron rust oxide or hydroxide iron, it can be used as secondary source which will lead its management well reduce pressure on primary sources. In present study, waste was precursor for synthesis nanoparticles via green route using extract dried Jatropha leaf. Synthesized were characterized different instrumental techniques. bear an extremely large specific surface area 190.2 m2/g. The catalytic potential synthesized tested degradation toxic organic pollutants phenol p-nitrophenol (PNP) in aqueous solution. Both removed rapidly initial 30 minutes reaction time. Optimization removal process done varying variables. Maximum (~98%) PNP (~95%) achieved at 0.1 g/L concentration nanoparticles. rate determined pseudo-first-order pseudo-second-order kinetics data found followed best kinetics.

Degradation of crystal violet using copper modified iron oxide as heterogeneous photo-fenton reagent

The heterogeneous photo-Fenton degradation of crystal violet under visible light has been investigated usingcopper modified iron oxide. The photocatalyst has been prepared by coprecipitation method. The rate ofphotocatalyic degradation of dye was monitored spectrophotometrically. It has been observed thatphotocatalytic degradation follows pseudo first order kinetics. The effect of various param...

Facile and Sustainable Synthesis of Shaped Iron Oxide Nanoparticles: Effect of Iron Precursor Salts on the Shapes of Iron Oxides

A facile and sustainable protocol for synthesis of six different shaped iron oxides is developed. Notably, all the six shapes of iron oxides can be synthesised using exactly same synthetic protocol, by simply changing the precursor iron salts. Several of the synthesised shapes are not reported before. This novel protocol is relatively easy to implement and could contribute to overcome the chall...

Reduction of uranium(VI) by mixed iron(II)/iron(III) hydroxide (green rust): formation of UO2 nanoparticles.

Green rusts, which are mixed ferrous/ferric hydroxides, are found in many suboxic environments and are believed to play a central role in the biogeochemistry of Fe. Analysis by U LIII-edge X-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy of aqueous green rust suspensions spiked with uranyl (U(VI)) showed that U(VI) was readily reduced to U(IV) by green rust The extended X-ray absorption fine structure (...
